"Shimmy in the Sun" for Flood Relief
Sydney Fundraiser Event
A day of bellydance fun, raising money for the Premier's Disaster Relief Fund. Part of a nationwide series of Bellydance events under the umbrella of Shimmy in the Sun, with approval number TF/11/2794.
Students, teachers and performers from all schools are warmly invited to participate.
Join us for a day of fun:
- mini-classes with some of Sydney's top teachers including Jrisi, Shiva, Leonie, Popi and more!
- performances by students and professionals - including Jamil, Sophie Alize, Shiva and Daria!
- market stalls with new and used bellydance items, jewellery, accessories - and cake stall!
- HUGE raffle with lots of bellydance goodies: first prize is a BRAND NEW professional bellydance costume! Other prizes include artworks, class passes, restaurant vouchers, DVDs, clothing and accessories vouchers and much more. See full list below.

How can I help?
- tell all your bellydance friends and get them to come! Send them the link to this page, invite them on FaceBook, send them the flyer
- get a group together to perform
- volunteer to help co-ordinate the event
- collect your used bellydance gear and either apply for a stall to sell it and donate part of the money, or donate items for dancers who have lost everything in the floods
- buy raffle tickets - you can do this in advance if you won't be there on the day
- most importantly, COME and donate denerously!
